I don't remember

That was the theme of Thursday night's City Paper holiday party. I left work and headed over to Jess' place where we had dinner and drinks before heading to Sarrano. The paper had rented out the place for the night and it was pretty nice in there with the fireplace going and people abuzz.
The super crew of Jess, Megan, Matt and I made our way to the shindig about 2 hrs after it started (seriously it started at 6pm and I needed a moment to catch my breath after my other job). Arizona and Luke joined us shortly thereafter and well the rest of the night is a blur. There was karaoke, one I remember (Boyz II Men, End of the Road) one I do not (Madonna, Touch Myself), there was dancing...lots of exciting dancing, and there was phone number passing out (what can I say, lady was on a roll). Four drink tickets later (all used for Maker's Mark on the rocks of course) and it was definitely time for a grand exodus.
Friday morning was well, it was special. I was miserable for the first three hours of work and chugging Pepto all morning to keep my wits about me. There was Motrin 800 working it's magic as well. Ultimately, I survived and was able to enjoy myself again that night at Matt and Megan's lil gettogether. It was great. There were friends, food and drinks and a sweet Christmas tree! I slept on their couch that night and got the beauty of waking up to a lit tree in the morning, totally incredible. Saturday morning the three of us (well, mostly just Megan and Matt) made a very exciting breakfast of pancakes, turkey bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. I contributed by making the morning music mix. It was great and we definitely had a couple sing-a-longs during the meal. Magical.
I spent the rest of yesterday shopping for gifts and shoes. I got a new pair of running shoes so that I don't kill myself at the gym. I also went to said gym and did an interview for an artspick for the 12/21 issue of City Paper.
Today I am at work and planning on a night of making cookies, writing a story and of course gymtime. I'm getting this body back into shape even if it kills me. I miss feeling like I could go out and run 5 miles without breaking a sweat.
