Snowstorms with Family Ties

It's strange knowing my Aunt Suz and sister are still in the city but I can't be with them. Their flights got delayed and now they are staying another night here but in a hotel by the airport because the roads are bad. I know that I can't go hang out with them (like I said the roads are bad) but I wish I could take advantage of their extra night here. Their flight doesn't leave until 6:00pm tomorrow but I'll be at work the entire day. I want to call in, I want to play hookie, I wish I didn't feel bad about doing such things.
We had a great weekend spending time in the city, shopping, exploring Chinatown, showing Ali the Libery Bell and Independence Hall at night and being lazy with room service in the morning and movies all evening long.
We also went to Lush and got face mask stuff and I got some henna hair dye. I did the henna dye tonight, I'm auburn now. It's okay, it will look better after I get some color in my cheeks...which will happen at the end of March when I join my family at a condo in Hilton Head Island, c/o ME! It feels kind of awesome to know that I could purchase a ticket to visit my family and finance it myself. Small stuff to some, big to me, it's important to me to be able to to provide for myself.
