I made it. I more than made it, I smashed my arbitrary goals and made each goal I'd set myself for during the race....most importantly, freestyle swimming the entire time (never stopping to catch my breath and not moving) and never slowing to more than a jog during the run. I even managed to keep my legs moving 99% of the bike ride...I didn't even allow myself to coast on the downhills, I pushed it all the way.
