The Beginning of Monday Adventures

As many of you know, I have officially jumped into the world of theatre. The world of theatre runs on its own schedule, the world of theatre is full of drama and unconditional love, the world of theatre is frickin bizzare but hot dog do I love working in a live entertainment venue again.
So as noted, theatres run on a different schedule. Forget the 9-5, Monday thru Friday crap. I work Tuesday-Sunday and some days I work 5-11pm while others I work 11:30am-11pm. Monday is my day off. I repeat DAY, as in singular. It works out alright though thanks to many of my friends running on the same crazy schedule. Keeping said schedule in mind, a friend of mine, Rachel, and I decided to start what we dubbed "Monday Adventures."
Since Monday is our only full day off a week, we decided the theatre folk of the world should take it for all it's worth. Yesterday a few other theatre folkies took our idea to heart and decided we needed to go apple picking. The 5 of us hopped in Deb's Subaru and headed to Media, PA where we took over the Lilanova Orchards. While there we picked Red Delicious, Granny Smith, MacIntosh and Stamen apples. We also held an apple rolling contest (I won), pulled each other around in a wagon (some of us crashed coughRACHELandSARAcough), staged highly unpolitically correct photos involving black hired workers revolting and knocking out their white owners and running out of the orchards as well as photos reinacting Deb's famous apple-poo of last fall, drank apple cider and ate cider doughnuts and of course bought many things at the farmers market that we may or may not have really needed.
Here are a few highlights in photo form. *NOTE* If you don't have a sense of humor you may be offended. Deal with it :)

Teamwork=VICTORY!

The reinactment of what happens when you eat more apples than you pick...

Happy orchard workers...

The workers revolt, knock out one of "The Bosses" and avoid the wrath of the other!

"The Boss" gets knocked out darn tootin good.

Our runaways hide in the bushes

Apple Carting! It's huge in the midwest...

Apple Crashing! No one was hurt though Sara did nearly pee her pants.

One small correction... the Subaru is MINE. Deb only wishes she were cool enough to drive such a beaut. That's why I let her drive sometimes-- makes her feel better. :)
