So I've only ridden my bike once. It's amazing how many people are on bikes around here but biking in the city is quite different from Kalamazoo. I'm working on building up my confidence when it comes to crazy traffic situations. Today I'm going to ride a bit around University City and I promise, I'm working on becoming one of those great city riders that don't even buy a pass for public transportation because they ride everywhere. The nice thing is that I can even ride into the winter, snow isn't as common here as in Michigan.
In other news I met my roommate Sunday, Megan. She came straight from the airport (she lived in France for the summer) and we get along famously. I think that it's going to be a great living situation and that we will actually hang out. We have plans to go shopping this weekend, not that I really have any disposible income but I'm always ready to go out and window shop like a madwoman and who knows, there could be some quality sales allowing me to at least indulge a bit! I really think it's important for me to know where all the great stores are as well so that when people visit I can take em on the town.
Today is my "off" day though I have 2 stories I'm working on for the paper as well as work at the theatre at 6pm. The key here is that I don't have any required work until 6pm so that's awesome. I'm going to spend the day researching for a story at my Philadelphia equivalent to a 4th Coast/Rocketstar combo, The Other Green Line Cafe while my laundry is getting done next door at the laundromat.
