So I got a job offer today. It's with a company called Springboard Media and it's a locally-owned Apple Computer specialty store. I will be the receptionist and work Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, be paid a quality amount of money and get full health insurance provided and dental at cost. I will be able to continue working a few nights at the Walnut Street Theatre and writing freelance for the paper and basically feel good about my position in life right now. The company is ethically and morally in line with my personal opinions and is run like a well-oiled happy little machine. The staff is about 25 people strong and they are all within 10 years of me in age. According to everyone who I spoke with in the past two days, they work like a family. Everyone takes care of everyone and by the way, there's an air hockey table in the basement and I saw a sign-up sheet for a tournament...awesome.
In other news, tonight is opening night and so I get to party with all my theatre friends. This is very exciting. I now have something to celebrate as well. Arizona is on her way in from Manayunk with Thai for us. I'm looking forward to a yummy dinner. JLo and Luke are currently in the theatre seeing the show and are going to hang out afterwards as well. I'm really happy to be able to be with so many people I can share my excitement with tonight.
This morning I bid farewell to the Starlings. Their show at the World Cafe Live went well and they all slept well on my kitchen floor. They headed off to Boston around 9:45am. I hope that they have safe travels and enjoy that beautiful city.
Well, that's all for now. Truth be known, I'm walkin on sunshine! Thank God for tiny favors.
