About Me

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
I love gerbera daisies. 20something laid back gal with an Irish-Catholic background and a thirst for beer and whiskey. Above are the Irish rioting in Philly, I aim to do my best to uphold the tradition. This is the story of my Philadelphia takeover.

maybe all i need is a shot in the arm

Today I found all my Wilco music tucked away as "untitled"albums on my computer. Thank goodness, I thought that I had left it all back in Michigan. What a good day it is today indeed. Another good day at work, ringing people up, answering phones, doing mailing, BAM! Yeah that's right I'm every administrator's dream assistant, and I'm hot too.
Bought a new dress for my 42nd Street going tomorrow night. Aunt Suz and I are living it up for the weekend at the Marriott and I'm pretending to be a tourist in my own town. I have big plans to spend more money I don't have.
I went to the gym today, I got a tour. Then I realized I didn't have a lock so I called up Arizona to borrow hers, ran to the theatre to get it from her and proceeded to stay there for nearly an hour and then not go to the gym after all. I think I have someone to contribute to the "Culture Shock" section of the paper though, so bam! (did you see the baby?)
I spoke with two people from the railroad company (at 9am before work) and it was at the same time----probably the most obnoxious interview I've had to deal with in a long time. My story is slowly pulling together though so here's to hoping.
Also, it was 70 degrees today and tomorrow is December first, madness. Thank you Lord, I needed that warm air today, it was delightful. Yes, I just said delightful.
Fella on the left in the photo is John Peakes. John Peakes was the founding artistic director for the Boarshead Theatre in LANSING, MI for 35 years, he is now currently in the play 42nd Street at the Walnut Street Theatre. I've been to the Boarshead a few times in my life, it was only 15 minutes from my house. The whole "small world thing" keeps happening to me in this city, it's weird. Mr. Peakes and I chatted momentarily yesterday about it all and had a good laugh.
