I went to Michigan this weekend. It was the first time I'd been back to the Great Lakes State since moving to Philadelphia in August. It was nice to ride in cars again, spend time with almost my entire family (just the Boston McKenna's couldn't make it), spend time with my best friends and absorb as much of everything as I could.
My sister-in-law Julie is looking very pregnant. She's about 6 months along and has a lovely little belly that she seems incredibly natural carrying about. In fact, out of all my sister-in-laws, she seems to be the one taking the pregnancy in stride and seems very relaxed. Despite it being almost shocking to find out her and Jim were going to have a baby, so far I think they are probably going to be the most easy-going about it all.
I have plenty to write about, and I plan to catch up at some point this week but for now I'm just going to leave it at this...my grandfather asked me if I had turned "gothic" because I was wearing black nailpolish.
God bless the generation gap.
