Are You Hot?

The main reason for this post is for this article from the Village Voice, it's priceless... Are You Hot?

So I was just wondering, Are You Hot?

This has become the question of the day and also the highlight of my time at Springboard Media this sunny Tuesday afternoon in April. Speaking of April, what's with the weather?

As for the rest of life things have gotten a bit better since my PMS post earlier. Easter Sunday was rather wonderful considering it was the first time I wasn't with any members of my family. I was adopted by Emily's family for the afternoon. Her mother made an amazing turkey lunch with stuffing, salad, cheesy potatoes and of course, dessert. The cake was rather glorious. She made a bunny, as in the entire bunny and it was yummy lemon cake too! In addition to Emily, her sister Cait and her parents about 6 other people were in attendance and we all crammed into the livingroom to eat. I love it when a bunch of people are smooshed into a room and are eating, drinking, talking and laughing together. It reminds me of home (since all my family gatherings end up this way).

Sunday night Beth and I wandered north to have dinner with Jake Van Order. It was so nice to see him since he's been in Philadelphia for a few weeks and we just kept missing each other. It was fun to chat because we know a lot of the same people and yet had never really hung out in Kalamazoo. He made Beth and I an amazing salmon dinner and then we played a little Wii (my first time) and spent the rest of the evening chatting. I enjoy people who have an appreciation for spending time with others and having a conversation over a few beers.

Tonight as part of the Philadelphia Film Festival there is a screening of the Philadelphia Story at a local theatre. Em's and I are going and I am quite excited as I have never seen it. There's nothing like getting the chance to see an old movie on the big screen.
